Idyll

Overstating positively any virtue of a place, a person, an object takes your mind to blow free in fantasy and distortion. Even if we were heading off to some unexpected place, blindfolded; we will be producing expectations about what would be happenning anytime soon.

My first steeps this semester were digging in Ronesa, a fantastic, marvelous house I had in my mind as a housing with great, amazing overviews in an amazing natural paradise. I also added some fantastic family links to it.

When I'm using the word fantastic I'm not talking about "awesome", I'm talking about fantasy.

Suddenly, when I start discovering real layers of true information all my world closep up to me. The fabulous family link had shrank to a little core. The amazing walking through the forest following my father became me, alone, looking for a house in the middle on the montain and having serious trouble to find it. Then, something came across my mind: I remembered the house much smaller as it is and in very worse conditions as it is.

My feelings about this place, the importance I think those features were given back in the past and how developed they are or were needed to be measure.

I began with the topography: level curves, which are usually plane, are being measured by circles in grayscale with different radius and black saturation in dependance of the thickness and separation of the level curve.

Then, the path to get to it: an argillaceous land which allows mutability to flow. That place would never exactly be as you have experienced anytime before. This, joined with the past of time allows our mind to fantasize about how could this house had been build if now you are not able to get to it with your car.

Thinking about all this family issues and personal thoughs, I look at how can architecture be modified by this agents, how could we design an open facade in which a combination of holes would be defined by a parametritacion of a family portrait; or how a diagram could be used to open a lantern in a ceiling. All this to help to keep on memory to others what it was and it is not, what you expected to be and what it was or what you imagined and that would never be

This took my project to another stage: the Idyll. Concurrent situations that creat some expectations about something that is not probably ever happen; something you believe in some time ago, and now you can' t even pronounce.

This allows to be reinterpreted in different scales: urban, human and personal. To help myself to get some material to verify what I was talking about I selected some outlines parameters to start asking about. By the moment I got some answers of two of this outlines, and I'm looking forward to keep meeting and asking... just give some hours.
